Steven Cathey does an excellent job keeping my sideshave nice and tight. He does great quality work at a great price and he works quickly. I would say thats everything you want out of a barber. My schedule is pretty hectic so making appointments is hard for me to hold to but he always manages fit me in when I have made a last minute trip to the area. I highly recommend Steven Cathey!

I met Farrell, the owner and master barber of Pomade and Tonic, back before he opened his new shop. I was tired of the big-chain, metro-sexual "salons" where poorly trained women hacked at my locks for 20 minutes then dumped me out of their chairs with an abomination on my head. I found Farrell when he was working at a shop right up the street from my house and was immediately impressed with how well he knew his craft. When I found out he was opening Pomade and Tonic all the way across town from me, I was disappointed that he was no longer going to be so close, but I didn't even consider finding another barber. Now I'll gladly make the 20 minute drive to go hang out at P and T, a modern men's barber shop with an old fashioned feel. It's a great place for a trim, a shave, a game of pool, or to just relax and hang out. Go give it a shot. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. BTW--I'm writing this review for purely selfish motives: I want to make sure Pomade and Tonic is around for a long, long time.
